Richard Miller has also came down by himself and removed a brush pile from the cemetery.
On July 31, 2001, John Schwartz, Audrey Schwartz, and Robert A. Bates pulled vines from the lawn and surrounding gravestones.

John Schwartz has been the principal caretaker of the grounds. He mows the lawn,
among other things. He has mowed at least five times with only his wife Audrey.
Fred Tamayo has been a major help with trimming with the weed wacker and keeping
the grass from overtaking the fence and gravestones.
Diane Tamayo has hauled over 200 bags of brush and clippings home with her for proper
disposal. She had been a pillar to the clean up effort.
We thank everyone their efforts. There has been much work done. Alas, there is much more work to be done. Funds that might be used for restoration and major jobs might have to used instead for regular upkeep if volunteers aren’t found. We realize that not everyone works a regular schedule or is physically able. We appreciate any volunteers we can get. The more volunteers we can get, the easier the jobs will be.
