The Methodist Cemetery Association held a ribbon cutting to commerate the
installation of a new fence section and new gate.
Our ribbon cutters are Paul Sluby, Ramsey Scofield, and Gordon Scofield. Paul Sluby is from
the Colombian Harmony Society. The new section of fence and gate would not have been possible
without a grant arranged by Mr. Sluby. Ramsey and Gordon Scofield are the 5th
great-grandchildren of the original Aquilla Eld buried in the cemetery. His son, Aquilla Eld,
was a founder of the Cemetery. Eldbrooke United Methodist Church derives part of its name
from
the Elds. Ramsey Scofield is age 12. Gordon Scofield is age 9. They are both children of
Susan
Werner Socifield, current Vice President of the Association.
In attendance are President Audrey Schwartz, Vice President Susan Scofield,
Corresponding Secretary Margaret Amundson, Trustee Dorothy Ford, and Trustee
Diane Tamayo. Pat Sluby was also in attendence.
